Biography
Spinscott is an international performance DJ, producer, and lifelong drummer best known for delivering live sets featuring 100% Real-Time Loop-Free Jungle and Drum N Bass played on samplers mixed with original & classic tracks on CDJs. Spinscott has been active in the electronic music scene since the 1990’s, and has performed at countless underground parties, raves, clubs, festivals, and industry showcases with the best-known DJs in the scene. A master of the “Golden Era” Jungle sound, Spinscott also incorporates modern Drum N Bass, Footwork, 160/Juke, and other genres into unique sets that are truly one of a kind.
Attracting global attention through his viral Real-Time Jungle Drum Machine videos, DJ mixes, and original releases, Spinscott has cultivated a dedicated following and demand for live appearances. He has performed in over 60 cities across North America, UK & beyond, with highlights including sets at Boomtown Fair (UK), Up To Date Festival (Poland), Bangface Weekender (UK), and as the first US artist to perform a showcase at the DNB Arena Awards in England. In addition to playing at events, Spinscott is often sought after by the pro music industry for special projects. He has performed live for Pioneer DJ and AKAI Pro at NAMM, created exclusive content for Sweetwater Music, is a premier artist/lesson creator for Melodics, and has provided product planning insight for samplers, IEMs, and other gear.
On the production side, Spinscott has charted digital & vinyl releases on labels including Elm Imprint, Dynamix Records, Faction Digital, and others, and has been solicited by several key labels and top producers for sample & track contributions. His live music & production videos regularly generate over one million views, and he occasionally features vocal appearances by the legendary MC Baxter (his pit-lab mix!) in his recordings.
