Originally from London, Sustance’s forward thinking, crisp and captivating sonics are curated with the dance floor in mind.

From topping the global Beatport charts with successive EP’s on Overview Music and Shogun Audio, Sustance continues to cement his name as one of the scene’s most exciting new-gen producers.

Since his emergence, Sustance has collaborated with an array of artists, including Grammy winning emcee Flowdan, Strategy, Monty, Hyroglifics, Visages, Charli Brix and T-Man to name a few.

In 2023 he released his debut album Perceived Connections on Shogun Audio.

Written between London and Berlin across a twelve-month period, ‘Perceived Connections’ encapsulates both of the alluring sides of Sustance’s sound. In the same fashion that the album’s writing process pivoted between two capital cities, Sustance’s debut album presents both deep and expressive tracks such as ‘I Want You’ with Catching Cairo and ‘Sweet Relief’ with Duskee, Zara Kershaw and Pola & Bryson, as well as showcasing heavy, sound system-destroying tunes like ‘Undercurrent’ with Strategy and ‘Ten Ton’ with Flowdan.

Also accompanying Sustance on this LP voyage is a plethora of D&B’s hottest talent, including Visages and T-Man on tracks ‘Moments’ and ‘Snakes & Villains’ respectively.

Traversing an array of sounds, styles, and genres throughout, ‘Perceived Connections’ is nothing short of an exceptional extended body of work from a producer whose razor-tight approach to music has seen him emerge with one of the crispest and most captivating sonic palettes in drum and bass music.

As a true turntablist at heart, his DJ sets encompass a refined yet energetic style with critical selection and razor-sharp mixing.
