It’s time to get weird for the weekend with the latest genre-bending CGRadio Sessions from San Diego based Rebellion.
Bio:
Since the age of 4, Charles Rebellion was determined to become a DJ and integrate his whole life evolving within and around music. Having grown up in Japan for most of his childhood, his musical tastes were extensive and well beyond his early years, and it grew exponentially broader in sounds when he moved to California at 15yrs old.
Charles has been in the southern California rave scene since 1996 and destroying dance floors in both the Jungle Drum & Bass and Bass music circles starting in 2003. He has been pushing bass to the masses on the internet as a radio show host (DnBTV.com) since ’06, while also playing at events at well-known venues, outdoor festivals, and intimate desert gatherings for well over 17+ years. He has performed on both a national (Las Vegas, SEA, PHI, B-More, CHI, KC, ATL, Tucson, SF) & international (Bristol UK, Toronto CA) stage. Rebellion has also held multiple residencies in both the city of San Diego and in Los Angeles County, CA, for the past decade, continuing to stay eclectic with his choice selections and bring a different feel to every gig he plays.
Rebellion loves to take the listeners on a journey thru the music no matter what BPM range in the music. Balancing weird vibes along with energy-filled beats, he traverses within the many sub-genres and obscure grooves within the bass music realm to bring something fresh and rewarding to the dance floor each and every time.
In his hometown of San Diego, he represents United By Bass (SD Union / We Love Bass) and Circuit System. He is also a member of the US nationwide Junglist crew (based out of Chicago, IL), M.I.A..
