Acclaimed Breakbeat Artist Lee Coombs Joins The CGAgency Breakbeat Roster.
The latest artist to join the Cyber Groove Breakbeat roster is an absolute pillar in the worldwide breaks community. He got his start behind the decks in 1989 in the acid house scene in London before signing with the now legendary Finger Lickin’ in 1998. His first full-length album ‘Future Sound of Retro’ dropped in 2001 and there has been no looking back.
In 2005, he shifted his energy to releasing his music through his new imprint, Thrust Recordings, and Meat Katie’s Lot49. He is responsible for ‘Thrust’ club nights, a massively popular Bay Area event. He is a repeat performer at Burning Man. He’s even produced music for Absolute Vodka campaigns.
This artist has toured the world, destroying stages across America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and back on his home turf in the UK. He’s collaborated with some of the most important people in the dance music world, such as Paul Oakenfold, Moby, New Order, Andy Gardner (Plump DJs), Uberzone, and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.
There are few artists in the breakbeat community as well-respected as our newest addition to the roster. The kind that only comes with longevity and a deep love for the breakbeat community. Releasing ground breaking mix albums, remixing the world’s most acclaimed artists, and knocking out dancefloor destroying productions that are considered classics years after their release. As a DJ, Lee has toured the world consistently over the last 20 years, playing many of the world’s premier clubs and festivals, such as Ministry of Sound, Fabric, Glastonbury and Burning Man.
