One of the most unique exciting bass music outfits to emerge in recent times, Koven is the production alias of producer Max Rowat and Katie Boyle.
First conceived in December 2011, the Koven project was sparked into life with the ‘Wake You Up EP’. Instantly making an impact across the scene, Koven’s very first release saw support from some of the most influential tastemakers of the time, including UKF and Inspector Dubplate. This free download also began a trend for Koven across the airwaves, receiving substantial backing and airtime from the likes of Radio 1 to XFM.
It wasn’t long before Koven had a queue of equally talented producers and world renowned organizations at their door, eager to work with a new and exciting production force. Such parties included; Modestep, NuDesign, Borgore, Hadouken, Ministry Of Sound, Nissan, Juventa, Enter Shikari, Kokiri, Playstation, Jagermiester & Many more.
Koven’s first records were helped along by world famous Radio stations/DJ’s including Radio 1’s Zane Lowe. Gaining recognition at a rate of knots with their organic yet precise production, Koven went from strength to strength and performed their first ever Live Lounge for Crissy Criss on Radio 1xtra with their second release.
Years of a busy touring schedule lead to the release of their Debut EP ‘Hereinafter’, which continued to receive support from all the major radio stations and the release ‘Sometimes We Are’ furthermore solidified the Koven sound with the act winning the ‘Best EP Release’ award at the 2015 Bass Music Awards.
The duo were then appointed to compose the music for a £2.7 million TV advertising campaign by Mast-Jaegermeister as part of its ‘Craft the Moment’ marketing initiative and Koven are currently in the studio working on their next release and preparing for another busy year ahead.

The rise and rise of Jaguar Skills has been well documented. Honing his craft and love of music for the last 20 years Jag has remained true to his school and kept a mysterious edge to his character; with details of his real name, age and home town etc left largely unconfirmed…
One thing is known though. He has been responsible for some of the most exciting musical projects of the past few years. Largely centered around producing stunning mixes comprises his personal unique edits and mash-ups, Jag has caught the ear and worked with the likes of fashion label Maharishi, fashionista Jade Jagger, Urban Outfitters, Carling Zest, Renault Clio, and of course BBC Radio 1.
Numerous sell out UK tours along with tours in North America and Australia bridged the gap before his second compilation on Ministry Of Sound, titled ‘Jaguar Skills And His Amazing Friends Vol 2’.
2016 saw Jaguar Skills step out as a producer in his own right. He started with a remix for Benjamin Carlisle’s summer anthem ‘One’ before dropping his first solo ‘Ready To Rock’ EP on Viper Recordings to much acclaim. The stand out track was ‘Reload That’ with Milli Major which went down a storm, the track being heavily supported across BBC Radio 1, 1xtra, Kiss & Capital and it even managed B list status on BBC 1xtra for two weeks, impressive for his first ever solo release.
For the rest of the year and well into 2017 you will continue to see the ever present Jaguar Skills continuously impress us with his mesmerizing DJ sets while his solo career as a producer steadily grows with a forthcoming single on Insanity Records / Sony while dropping his second EP on Viper Recordings. So make sure you stay locked in with the rest of the Jaguar Skills!

Mob Tactics seem to be a name on people’s lips more and more of late. Already renowned for their inimitable style of techy – yet very funky, dancefloor orientated Drum & Bass, the duo appear to be going from strength-to-strength with each release. Their tunes are already firm staples in the sets of Andy C, Friction, Matrix & Futurebound,DJ Hype and Audio, to name but a few, and the demand for them on the DJ circuit is rapidly gaining momentum. Heavily influenced by the likes of Ed Rush & Optical, Bad Company, Konflict and Total Science, you can always guarantee a Mob Tactics release or DJ set will be nothing short of high octane. Luke and Mark first met in 2009, when Luke, who was running the music department at Chemical Records, signed some of Mark’s tunes to their in-house imprint: RUN DNB. After instantly hitting it off and realising their musical tastes were so similar, the two decided to hit the studio in early 2010. The first weekend at Mark’s studio they managed to create ‘Gunjack’ and the following weekend at Luke’s, they knocked out ‘Stick-up Kid’ – both of which went on to garner support from DJ Hype, Bailey & Crissy Criss, and were subsequently released a few months later on Traffic Music. Mob Tactics was born. Fast forward a few years and the boys are in full swing. 2011/2012 saw several releases on the duos own imprint: Tactical Recordings – including the critically acclaimed ‘Kansas’ and a track for BTK’s Dutty Audio label entitled ‘Prang’. But it was 2013 that proved to be the most successful year to date. The dancehall tinged hit: ‘Crazy Hype’, featuring ragga legend, Elephant Man, was snapped up byPlayaz. Their remix of Cause4Concern’s early 2000 anthem: ‘Soul’went on to feature in the sets of just about every man and his dog!Prolix snatched up ‘Grotbags’ for his Trendkill imprint, and legendary Andy C signed up ‘Wolf Trap’ exclusively for the sixth installment of his hugely successful ‘Nightlife’ compilations. 2014 saw no sign of slowing down with releases on Chase & Status’ MTA Records, including ‘The Answer EP’ and the single ‘Gasp For Breath’, along with tracks featured on UKF Bass Culture, Ram Records ‘Ram Miami’ and ‘Ram Life: Audio’ compilations.
Now moving into the next chapter of their careers, Mob Tactics have signed exclusively to Futurebound’s Viper Recordings label with their debut single ‘Neon God’. Walking the fine line between uplifting and underground, ‘Neon God’ signals the exclusive and triumphant pairing of Viper Recordings and Mob Tactics which is going make a lot of noise, both figuratively and literally.

Forming a partnership with a friend, the name InsideInfo started out as a duo, they worked hard in the studio and landed themselves a show on Origin FM where they would play their new tracks, getting feedback instantly from the hordes of D&B fans tuning in each week. After a while the partnership went their separate ways, and Paul kept on the InsideInfo name, taking out a loan to buy a proper studio setup and diving headfirst into his production, mixing up all the different sounds he loves and wrapping it in Tech. It wasn’t long before this unique tracks caught the ear of one DJ Hype, and his first release, ‘Concentrate’ b/w ‘Rumble On Signal’ was snapped up for his Ganja-Tek label.Since that fateful signing, InsideInfo’s tunes have been at the forefront of many a major player’s box, and with tracks signed to a selection of fine labels, including Horizons, Critical, Blu Mar Ten, Mainframe, and Breed 12 Inches, amongst others. A tour-de-force of one of the most unique producers in the game, the ‘Grow EP’ undoubtedly raised InsideInfo into the next stratosphere of his career.
In recent years, InsideInfo’s production and output has made him a household name in the tech and neurofunk world of DNB with huge collaborations with Mefjus, The Upbeats, Smooth, Maztek, and Prolix – along with massive singles on Viper such as ‘Mushroom’ and ‘Metamorphosis’.
